Motivation and body confidence

Training and going to the gym help us de-stress, improves strength and make us feel so much better. Training consistently can help in so many ways: it improves our sleep, overall fitness, mood, stress levels, boosts our general energy levels, aids weight loss, and so much more.
However, motivation to get to the gym and exercise doesn't come naturally to everyone. That's where I come in. Having trained as a personal trainer in my 20s, I’ve since qualified as a 200-hour yoga teacher, gained CPD qualifications in mindfulness and meditation and over the last couple of years I have been completely enchanted by Qigong and have also gained training in this field.

Health and wellbeing qualifications & training

Exercise and movement have been a big part of my life ever since being a teenager. At age 12, my mum took me to my first yoga class, and ever since then, it has been a part of my life. I started going to the gym in my late teens, and in my early 20s trained as a personal trainer.

Since then, I’ve qualified as a yoga teacher, and have gained qualifications in mindfulness, meditation and Qigong. My health and wellbeing qualifications and training include:

I have known Eleanor Ross for many years, as my personal trainer. 


She is an excellent communicator with all age groups.  With an innate ability to teach, she makes learning fun; her encouragement and sense of humour create a self-belief in her trainees that they can succeed.  Her patience is limitless, and her own dedication and commitment inspire others.


When I was in my late 50s my wife despaired of my poor fitness, the result of a sedentary and indulgent lifestyle. She reckoned a personal trainer was the best option, and thought that I would be more amenable to following instructions from a female than a male. She saw Ellie’s advertisement in our local Sports Centre and immediately set up a session.


Ellie took me on as a client fully aware of my laziness and reluctance to change my lifestyle, but soon improved my physical condition no end. After the first few sessions I had to go straight home to bed, where I would stay for several hours. After a while I no longer had to do this; I was actually able to undergo early morning sessions and then cope with a full day
at work.

Her sessions were extremely varied, with great emphasis always placed on correct posture so that bad habits that might lead to injury are always avoided. She was always ruthless and would not tolerate a moment’s slacking, but her sessions were invariably good fun (even
though the actual exercise might not have been!) and we constantly found things to laugh about together.
I was devastated when she announced that she was moving away from the area and would not be able to train me any longer. 

I would have no hesitation in recommending Ellie to anyone, young or old, male or female.
Be prepared for some hard work, but also a lot of laughs…


Eleanor has been working with our global team for 2 years, starting just after lockdown, providing online Meditation and Movement classes.


She has been brilliant and professional the whole time. For our team, it has been amazing having moments of mindfulness and movement during a busy day, building well-being in to a work environment. Additionally, these sessions have helped us connect in a time of isolation.
